Cool Down at the Fonts d'Algar

Outside Benidorm there is a wonderful place to cool down in the baking heat and this is the fabulous Fonts d'Algar. The water temperature we're told stays at 18 degrees even on the hottest of days - this means nothing really until you have arrived from a walk up the hill to the falls, just five minutes or so depending on where you're parked - and dip a toe in the water, it is icy cold and like a Scottish mountain stream. Climbing into the large pool or jumping in if you're a bit braver, you realise that the water is very very cold, not for the faint hearted, but super refreshing and the best way to cool down we've ever found!

We can highly recommend a visit for either just a couple of hours or take a picnic and spend most of the day there, an absolute bargain at just 4€ entry - if you live in the Benidorm area or are visiting on holiday then add this to your list of places to visit.
