The Lady Laws
03-11-2014
We are winding down from Hen Party season 2014 and have learnt lots of lessons along the way. At Bombón Party we have seen many different hen party groups yet have still found that these following golden rules of party etiquette should apply to any hen party event, no matter what the grand plans are! Don’t forget to be a lady.
Golden Rule Nº 1: It is ALL about the bride
This is without doubt, rule number one and don’t forget it! It’s her time and the weekend is all about her. In terms of the hen party planning, where to go, what to do, the bride needs to be the centre of decisions at all times. We do know that everyone is taking time out of their own lives and paying towards the weekend which can be tough, especially when it’s hen party season and all your besties have decided to tie the knot! But, trust us ladies, a happy bride-to-be is a happy hen weekend, so keep it all about her.
Golden Rule Nº 2: Managing the costs
Traditional hen party etiquette is to cover the cost of the bride-to-be. However if it is a smaller group then this won’t always work. For you girls actually planning the event take this into consideration and bear in mind the cost impact on all the guests. Get them to save a little extra in the months running up to the party, so as you can all totally let go and not worry about the extra pennies being spent.
Golden Rule Nº 3: Selfies!!
We all know how camera friendly we can get after a few drinks which is great! Be as snap happy as you can be to capture all the hen party moments. Note to your tipsy selves though is that you’ll want to be extra careful about when you decide to share these photos. No tipsy posting! We all know that hen weekends can get a little wild with lots of cocktails and bubbles, and some photos should simply remain on tour. Think of everyone in the photo. You might look like a model but if your friend looks a little worst for ware, the rule is definitely, do not share! With Bombón Party you don’t have to worry .. we only ever share with permission from the group.
Golden Rule Nº 4: Wardrobe planning
Some hen parties will have a theme which can make it easier (or not) to plan. It’s usually the norm for the bride-to-be to wear white or a different colour to everyone else. Also, keep it classy and ladylike ladies. Remember, there’ll be photos to haunt you! I must admit that every group that has booked a Bombón Party this year have always been fabulous!! The outfits and makeuo have been out of this world.. take a peek at some of the photos on our Facebook page. /fb.bombonparty.com

Golden Rule Nº 5: Drinking rules
Bombón Party always supply top brand alcoholic beverages and only the best plonk! However…Nobody like a killer hangover. And NOBODY likes the blackouts and not remembering what happened the night before.Take it easy ladies. There’ll be drink flowing but know your limit so that you can soak up all the fun and have one of the best weekends ever.
